Is It A Goodbye? Maybe, Maybe Not

Hello to my dear fellows, As you can see from the title of my post, this may be my last post. Or not. I don't know. Maybe, it is just a break.  As you all know I write in this blog because it is a requirement of the Material Design course I take this year. I am supposed to tell you about the tools we have learned to create materials and what I have gone through while using them.  When I first heard this from our teacher Dr Gökçe Kurt Tiftik, it seemed like it would be tiring. But it was not like that at all. Writing here, talking with you, introducing all those tools with my own words... All of them was a great way to learn using those tools. I must say it also develops my English quite a lot. You know my first language is Turkish. ALSO, another plus point is that I feel like an up-to-date person who uses technology while keeping this blog. So we use technology while learning how to use technology to create materials. Isn't it amazing? Sometimes graduating and being a teacher ...

A Miraculous Web Feed for Blog Readers! RSS

Hello my dear fellows!

Today I am going to talk about a very useful web feed and two applications recommended by our teacher Gökçe Tiftik in my Educational Technologies course.

Web feed's name is RSS. It means Really Simple Syndication. It really is a useful web feed for learning about new updates of the blogs and websites you follow. Thanks to this feed, you don't have to stop by all blogs you follow. This feed brings all those updates to you.

I am using this feed with the application named Feed Reader. Its aim is to find RSS feed on the blogs and websites and make you be able to subscribe them. Generally, I use it to keep up with the updates of the blogs I follow. It can be downloaded into your computer. It has a simple design and is not complex for users who are new to this application.

I also have found out, while searching about this application, that Feedreader is one of the first desktop feed readers. It was first distributed in 2001. Maybe this is why it is so easy to use.

I'd like to show you a screnshot of my Feed Reader.

If you don't like the Feed Reader, there is also another application to use RSS. It's an online reader called Google RSS Feed Reader. I look through it and I like that one as well.

Last but not least, I want to talk about a blog. Its name is ELT Planing, TEFL tips and ideas from a developing teacher. Click the name of the blog to reach it!

It's managed by a teacher called Pete Clements. He has given lectures in so many different countries such as South Korea, the UK, Spain and so on.

He shares his tips and advices, personal stories and lesson plans and his ideas. It is really useful not only for the new teachers but also for the experienced ones.

Here are some views of his blog:

I highly recommend this blog to you!

My dear fellows, that's all I can say for today.

Don't forget to share your ideas on this subject in the comment section and stay in tune for new updates!

See you in my next post!
