Is It A Goodbye? Maybe, Maybe Not

Image
Hello to my dear fellows, As you can see from the title of my post, this may be my last post. Or not. I don't know. Maybe, it is just a break.  As you all know I write in this blog because it is a requirement of the Material Design course I take this year. I am supposed to tell you about the tools we have learned to create materials and what I have gone through while using them.  When I first heard this from our teacher Dr Gökçe Kurt Tiftik, it seemed like it would be tiring. But it was not like that at all. Writing here, talking with you, introducing all those tools with my own words... All of them was a great way to learn using those tools. I must say it also develops my English quite a lot. You know my first language is Turkish. ALSO, another plus point is that I feel like an up-to-date person who uses technology while keeping this blog. So we use technology while learning how to use technology to create materials. Isn't it amazing? Sometimes graduating and being a teacher s

Making an Infographic

Image
Hello my dear fellows! It's me again today. I realized that I didn't talk to you about the infographic I've done. We're assigned to do an infographic by our teacher, also.  Infographic is a visual representation of information which can be about anything. And our teacher wants it to be about Web 2.0 Tools which we have been learning in this class throughout the whole semester.  We're wanted to choose three tools and I've chosen Blogspot, Wiki and Storybird. Actually, doing an infographic was harder than doing a movie poster. Because options that are provided for infographic was much more and for this reason, I've spent a lot of time on it.  Here's the fruit of my labour:   It's not looking too good. I know it. But the information it contains is good if you ask me. So, you should take a look at it. My dear fellows, this time, it's really all for today. Thank you for reading and please don't forget to leave your

I've Created My Own Movie Poster!

Image
Hello my dear fellows! Today, I'm going to talk about an experience of mine which is really enjoyable for me. It's making a movie poster as you can understand it from the title of the post. It's given by our teacher as a homework. We're assigned to do a movie poster of book we have read. Since I love both reading books and watching movies, I've done this homework with pleasure. I've chosen The Stranger by Albert Camus as the book. Then I've found the site which I will use to create my movie poster and I created it. At the end, here is my poster: I know that it's not looking so professional but I think it's quite good for a beginner.  So, it was all for today's post. Thank you for reading and please don't forget to leave your comments below. Love! The tool I've used to do my movie poster: Poster My Wall

My Digital Storytelling Project

Image
Hello my dear fellows! Today, I have come to give information about something I've first tried and something really hard to do. It's called digital storytelling. When I first heard it from my teacher, I thought like, "It's a piece of cake for me,". However, at the end, I can tell you wholeheartedly that it's not. As the name suggests, digital storytelling is a stroytelling which is done with using technology. By the way, it's a video. Here's a beautiful representatin of it: For the source of it, click here ! For this project, our teacher has given us three options to make: PSAs, creating a how-to story and creating a fictional story. I and my two friends, Rabia Tuğlu and Bilge Yengel , have chosen PSAs. PSA stands for Public Service Announcement. They're made to provide information to public and are generally short. Before we started to make the video, first we, I and my friends, have met and talked what kind of issue we shoul

The Colorful Way of Learning: Padlets!

Image
Hello my dear fellows, Today, I want to talk about a wall board which is called "padlet" . Padlet can be used by multiple users and these users can write their ideas about a specific topic on this wall. Also users of the wall can put images, videos and links related to their topic. Here is the logo of the wall board:  For the source of the image, click here ! Our teacher has wanted us to make a wall on padlet in groups. So I thought like why not share this experience with you. First let me introduce you my friends in group: Rabia TUĞLU and Bilge YENGEL . Before we start to make our padlet, we have chosen the topic out of several topics given by our teacher. Our topic is "air pollution" which is as you all know a huge problem and it will continue to be so if necessary measures isn't taken. In the wall, we have created three columns and we have named these as WHAT WE KNOW, WHAT TO KNOW and WHAT WE LEARNED respectively. In first column, we hav
