Is It A Goodbye? Maybe, Maybe Not

Hello to my dear fellows, As you can see from the title of my post, this may be my last post. Or not. I don't know. Maybe, it is just a break.  As you all know I write in this blog because it is a requirement of the Material Design course I take this year. I am supposed to tell you about the tools we have learned to create materials and what I have gone through while using them.  When I first heard this from our teacher Dr Gökçe Kurt Tiftik, it seemed like it would be tiring. But it was not like that at all. Writing here, talking with you, introducing all those tools with my own words... All of them was a great way to learn using those tools. I must say it also develops my English quite a lot. You know my first language is Turkish. ALSO, another plus point is that I feel like an up-to-date person who uses technology while keeping this blog. So we use technology while learning how to use technology to create materials. Isn't it amazing? Sometimes graduating and being a teacher ...

Education Through Podcasts!

Hello my dear fellows!

Two weeks ago, we have learned about podcasts in our Educational Technologies course. That's why today I am going to talk about podcast and my experience of making a podcast.

Firstly let's talk about what podcast is. Podcast is an audio file that can be used for various purposes. So, we can use it for educational purposes, as well. Teachers, themselves, can record it or make their students record it.

In this class, our teacher has wanted us to make the podcast. She has offered us three kinds of podcasts and made us choose it. I have chosen the one I can do individually.

In this one, we are wanted to come up with an idea that can change the world and record it. It should be 60 seconds (exactly).

Before recording it, I have chosen the app I am going use to make a podcast. I have chosen the Voki because it is easy to use and has special visuals to use in the video file.

Then I have written a text that I read aloud. It was the longest and the most diffucult process for me. Because my imagination is not well-developed (I guess) and I can't easily put into words those in my mind. Lastly I have voiced that text I have written. Also, it was the second longest process.

I'd like you to see the result!

First, I was really confused while starting to do my podcast. But as I have got more familiar with it, it has got funnier. That's why I think to use it in the future with my students. I'd like my students to get through the same process just like I have.
And I strongly recommend you to use it with your students. Even if you don't like it - though I am sure it won't happen-, it would be a different experience for you and your students.

So, it was my experience of doing a podcast. Please don't forget to leave your comments below and mention your experiences of podcast if you tried it.

Thanks for reading and please keep in touch for my new posts my dear fellows.
